Spiced Nuts 3 Ways

In just a few minutes you can add loads of flavor to any nut you choose! Perfect for topping salads, desserts and more, these spiced nuts without sugar are also delicious as a snack! Try pumpkin spiced nuts or savory spiced nuts!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 T butter or other fat
  • 1 C previously prepared nuts-- walnuts, pecans, almonds, cashews, even peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp salt plus 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for pumpkin spiced nuts
  • 1/2 tsp salt plus 1/2 tsp each garlic powder and smoked (or regular) paprika for savory spiced nuts
  • 1/2 tsp salt plus 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp Italian seasoning for Italian spiced nuts

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in skillet until bubbly.
  • Stir in nuts, stirring frequently until the nuts are toasty and fragrant.
  • Add the spices you want, and stir well to coat for a minute, being careful not to burn.
  • Remove from heat and cool completely. If not using right away, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
